So, my nebulizer has been acting a bit wonky lately. It's been making funny noises and the air pressure seems pretty inconsistent. Can't say I'm all that surprised. I mean, I've had the thing for almost... god, 5 or 6 years now.
So I've been puttering around the internet seeing what's been happening in the world of nebulizer technology over the past half decade.
Good lord.
I feel like I've been using a 8 track player this whole time. My neb isn't huge by any means, but it's still around the size of a toaster. And kinda loud. And heavy. Which makes it an all-around hassle to transport or set up/put away.
I've been finding ones that are about the size of a paperback novel(!) They have an internal battery like an iPod and you can charge them. They also have ones that are much sleeker and aesthetically pleasing. It's so cool! Plus, they've apparently developed better atomizer units so the treatments go faster.
God, I'm getting all geeked out over a medical device. I'm so lame.
But I figure if something is going to be a necessity in my life, it might as well be a stylish necessity. Or quirky and cute. like this:

It's a penguin!! Hee!
Still, it's gonna kinda suck to have to toss my old one out. I know it sounds thoroughly weird, but it kinda has sentimental value. I know, I'm odd. Who the hell gets attached to a medical device?
